Leadership plays a pivotal role in advancing entrepreneurial innovation and supporting sustainable economic development. In an era defined by rapid technological change, globalization, and intense competition, effective leadership is essential to cultivate creativity, encourage risk-taking, and translate innovative ideas into practical solutions. This article examines the intersection of leadership, entrepreneurship, and economic development by emphasizing how visionary leadership styles—such as transformational and strategic leadership—act as catalysts for innovation. Leaders not only provide vision and motivation but also serve as enablers who mobilize resources, build networks, and foster organizational cultures that sustain entrepreneurial activities. Moreover, leadership shapes policy frameworks and institutional structures, which can either accelerate or constrain innovation-driven growth at both regional and national levels. Drawing on literature and case studies, the discussion highlights that leadership significantly contributes to building entrepreneurial ecosystems, empowering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and strengthening competitiveness in global markets. Effective leadership also promotes collaboration, knowledge sharing, and adaptability—qualities crucial for navigating complex and uncertain environments. The findings underscore the need to integrate leadership development into entrepreneurship education, organizational strategies, and policymaking. By investing in leadership capacity, businesses and governments can enhance resilience, adaptability, and innovation across sectors. Such efforts are vital not only for firm-level success but also for broader socio-economic transformation. Ultimately, nurturing entrepreneurial leadership emerges as a strategic priority for sustainable growth. Leaders who inspire, innovate, and adapt can create inclusive ecosystems that foster long-term competitiveness and address contemporary global challenges. This study concludes that effective leadership is both a driver of entrepreneurial success and a foundation for sustainable economic development.
